Meet new friends, have fun, stay fit, while learning the fundamentals of Gymnastics. Experience the fun and challenges of gymnastics. WVGC caters for all ages and all abilities. Fully qualified and enthusiastic coaches & a great, safe venue.
We are not a registered childcare provider – no rebates are available. Refunds can only provided if a medical certificate has been submitted.
Woden Valley Gymnastics Club is happy to announce that we are partnering with BRICKS 4 KIDZ® and the Canberra Reptile Zoo for the April School Holidays.
Full Day Gymnastics
Kids attending this session will also take part in BRICKS 4 KIDZ and other activities on selected days.
Kids enrolled for the Full Day program will attend all activities listed below.
Movie Time – After a hard day of gymnastics, our last session is dedicated to down time before being picked up. Gymnasts have a choice to watch the movie, colour in, play on technology (if brought and given permission by parents), quiet games etc. Parents are to sign out their child from the ‘Grant Cameron Community Centre’ located to the north of the gym through the glass doors and to the right before the stairs. Push the ‘Meeting Room’ buzzer to access the building after 5:30pm.
Ninja Warrior/Free G
If booking for the Ninja Warrior/Free G & GymSportz together, An additional cost will be added to cost for supervision between sessions
Kids will participate in 2 warm up games and an introduction into how to land and roll. The participants split off into age/ ability groups and then rotate around all apparatus with free play learning time (including foam pit play). Each apparatus will have a designed circuit that challenges, strength, coordination and locomotion.
Circuits include a range of fine motor, gross motor, balance and coordination skills along with progressions for your common gymnastics skills: including handstands, cartwheels, rolls, strength and gymnastics-oriented shapes.Each circuit is tailored for change as each gymnasts learns at a different pace.
During our Ninja Warrior/Free G class each participant takes on the Ninja Warrior Course. The person from each group with the fastest time will then compete at the end for the NINJA WARRIOR title.
Kids attending this session will also take part in afternoon non gymnastics activities.
If booking for the Ninja Warrior/Free G & GymSportz together, $10 will be added to cost for supervision between sessions
The GymSportz Program of the day is reserved for specific learning with a range of activities organised.
Monday: Acrobatics/ Teamgym
Tuesday: Rhythmic Gymnastics
Wednesday: Trampoline & Tumbling
Friday: Free G

Scavenger Treasure Hunt will need closed in shoes, hat and drink bottle. We will provide sunscreen.

Kindergarten-5yrs (Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
Our Kindergym Program in the School holidays runs very similary to the weekly term classes. Children warm up using a variety of games and songs incorporating coordination, balance, fine motor and gross motor skills. They then rotate around circuits with free play learning time including foam pit play. Circuits include a range of fine motor, gross motor, balance and coordination skills along with progressions for your common gymnastics skills including Handstands, cartwheels, Rolls, strength and shapes. Our Kindergym Program use various piece of materials to aid in development.
