The MAG (Mens Artistic Gymnastics) program at Woden Valley Gymnastics is a competitive program for male gymnasts.  MAG consists of six different apparatus; Floor, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars and Horizontal Bar.  In the junior MAG levels the boys also train and compete on an additional apparatus called the 'Mushroom,' which is used for learning circles; the main and most fundamental skill on Pommel Horse.

Within our MAG program we offer two streams. Our MAG National Gymnasts work towards the ALP (Australian Levels Program) which is designed for gymnasts who want to pursue a competitive gymnastics career. We also offer MAG State Levels for gymnast who would like to progress into Nationals in the future, or for gymnast not wanting to commit to the hours needed for Nationals.

The majority of our boys in MAG are invited to join the program when they finish Kindergym or are assessed-in through our Gymnastics for All Program. Participation in this program requires training a minimum of two days per week or more, and this will increase as the boys progress up the Levels. This Program requires a very high level of enthusiasm, motivation and commitment as training hours can increase to over 20 hours per week.
