GfA – Gymnastics for All

“LaunchPad programs are all about teaching children the fundamental movement skills they need to lead an active and healthy life full of sport and recreation. Designed to give children the opportunity to practise, develop and enjoy moving through a wide-range of activities, LaunchPad programs will help them to develop physically, socially and cognitively.”

– Gymnastics Australia

Our GfA Recreational Program strives to increase sport participation, develop children’s fundamental movement skills and all-round physical and cognitive development through using Gymnastics Australia’s LaunchPad: Zoom! Program. Our main focus is on the '4 F’s' of gymnastics:

  • Fun

  • Fitness

  • Fundamentals

  • Friendship AND

  • Safety!!

Our circuits are designed to allow for each child to progress at their own pace, allowing students to progress while staying with their friends and staying safe. Our gymnasts are taught the progressions and regressions of skills so they understand the risks behind doing skills they are not ready for.

We assess each child when they first come into our gym. Between the ages of 5 and 8 we suggest booking in our Minis Class,  8 to 10 years book into a Juniors Class and 10 - 12 years book into a Seniors Class. During the first class we will assess your child. Children aged 12yrs and above we ask that you book an assessment by using the contact form at the bottom of this page. In the assessment we take approximately 10 mins to see what skills your child can do to place them into an optimal class for their both their peer group and skill level.

"LaunchPad gymnastics programs rely on safe and enjoyable activities that challenge participants relative to their abilities and stage of development." – LaunchPad Australia

Gymnastics for All participants do not participate in competitions. They do however have the chance to showcase their skills for their families and friends at Woden Valley Gymnastics Club events each year.

Our Gymnastics for All participants are provided with progress reportss twice a year in Term 2 and Term 4. You will be able to see the skills and progressions your child is working on in.
